Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges and build meaningful, lasting change. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing the effects of trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, life transitions, and other emotional and behavioral concerns.

My professional experience includes supporting children and families involved with the Department of Human Services (DHS), foster care and kinship systems, and court-related processes. I understand the complexities that can arise when individuals and families are navigating child welfare involvement, custody matters, family conflict, and significant life stressors. I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can process difficult experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward healing and stability.

In addition to my work with children and families, I have extensive experience helping adults address trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, stress, and life transitions. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, increase self-awareness, and develop practical tools that support emotional well-being and personal growth.

I am also passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other developmental differences. My approach emphasizes understanding each person's unique experiences and strengths while fostering self-acceptance, resilience, and meaningful progress toward their goals.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I draw from evidence-based practices and tailor treatment to each individual's needs, recognizing that every person's journey is unique. Whether I am working with a child, an adult, or an entire family system, my goal is to create a safe and empowering environment where clients feel heard, supported, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

I believe healing happens through connection, understanding, and growth, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges and create positive change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals to better understand your unique experiences and needs. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn about my approach to therapy, and determine whether we feel like a good fit.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we will identify goals that are meaningful to you and develop a plan that supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, life transitions, or other challenges, we will work at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

For children and families, the first session may involve meeting with parents or caregivers to gather information about concerns, family dynamics, developmental history, and treatment goals. As trust develops, I work to create a space where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and building the skills they need to thrive.

Above all, you can expect to be met with compassion, respect, and genuine curiosity. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we begin working together toward meaningful and lasting change.
