Great to meet you!

Something Beautiful Counseling was built around a simple belief: that healing is possible for everyone, and therapy should feel like a real partnership — not a clinical process you're being put through.

I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors on anxiety, depression, OCD, eating concerns, PTSD, grief, relationship challenges, and family stress. I also offer couples therapy through a Solution-Focused approach. Whether you're carrying something heavy or just need support navigating life's transitions, there's a place here for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative — I match the framework to what you actually need, not the other way around.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps you stop fighting your thoughts and feelings and start moving toward what actually matters to you — building a life guided by your values, not your anxiety. CBT and Trauma-Focused CBT address the specific thought patterns driving depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma responses. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy builds the space between feeling something and reacting to it — which alone can change a lot.

For couples and families, I draw on Solution-Focused Couples Therapy and CBT Family approaches to shift communication patterns and strengthen connection in concrete, practical ways.

Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented — you set the direction, I help you get there. We adjust as we go, because your needs in session 3 may look different than they did in session 1.

What you can expect from me

The first session is yours to set the pace. Share what's brought you here in whatever way feels right — there's no script, no pressure to have it organized, and nothing you say will surprise me.

I'll ask some questions to help me understand what you're carrying and what you're hoping changes. By the end, we'll have started to map out what matters most to you and build a direction that fits your actual life — not a template.

Most people leave the first session feeling like they were actually heard. That's the goal.
