Great to meet you!

Know that I'm trained in EMDR and trauma-focused CBT, and that I got here by way of ministry work with survivors of trafficking before becoming a counselor — so I don't flinch at hard stories. Bring me your anxiety, your ADHD-scattered days, your trauma, or the relationship patterns you keep repeating. Expect direct feedback, not just nodding along, and expect me to treat you as capable of change from the first session.

My approach to therapy

Start with what's actually happening in your body and thoughts right now, then work backward to where the pattern began. I use EMDR when trauma is driving the symptoms, CBT and behavioral tools when you need concrete skills for today, and attachment-based work when relationships are the sticking point. Expect homework between sessions — insight alone doesn't change behavior, practice does.

What you can expect from me

Walk in and tell me what brought you here, in whatever order makes sense to you. I'll ask direct questions about your history, your goals, and what's already been tried, then map out where we'll likely start. If you're not sure where to begin, that's fine, we'll figure it out together. Leave the first session with a plan, not just a summary of your problems, you'll know what we're working on and why.
