Great to meet you!

The prospect of starting counseling can appear scary. The worries of what other people may think, the stigma of counseling, and the thought of "am I weak'. I have been in this field for over 20 years, in a variety of setting, and I heard from many who shared their hesitation for reaching out. It takes courage to ask for help! I am here to offer education, support, and provide evidence-based treatments. We will work together to accomplish the goals that you set for yourself in counseling

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and CBT. I take the 'brain therapy' approach to treatment in which I provide education on the reasoning we use a certain therapy and what is happening in the mind and body.

What you can expect from our first session

You will learn skills that you will utilize on a daily basis. You will also gain insights into reasoning for moods and behaviors in order to change patterns.
