Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Chris Helton, a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider with over 20 years of experience supporting clients with mental health concerns, trauma, and abuse-related challenges. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and families. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-sensitive. I use evidence-based treatment methods and tailor care to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. My style is gentle yet direct, offering honest feedback while respecting your comfort and pace. Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin building a trusting relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can share at a pace that feels comfortable, ask questions, and talk about your needs and preferences. Together, we will begin identifying goals and developing a plan for your care.
