Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health therapist with experience providing services to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. My professional background includes working with individuals experiencing trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, utilizing evidence-based and client-centered approaches to support emotional wellness, resilience, and personal growth. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of South Carolina and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. I currently hold professional mental health counseling licenses in both South Carolina and North Carolina, allowing me to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and effective mental health services to diverse populations.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and I work alongside them to identify goals, overcome challenges, and build on existing strengths. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of concerns, including trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, and emotional regulation. My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs, developmental stage, and personal goals. I focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, and build resilience.

I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and those navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Whether working with youth, adults, or families, I emphasize building strong therapeutic relationships and fostering a sense of hope, growth, and healing throughout the counseling process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to be welcoming, supportive, and focused on getting to know them and their unique needs. The initial session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship while discussing the concerns, challenges, and goals that brought them to counseling.

During this session, I will gather information about the client’s background, current symptoms, personal strengths, relationships, and any relevant mental health history. We will explore what they hope to gain from therapy and identify initial goals for treatment. Clients are encouraged to share at their own pace, and there is no expectation to discuss everything in one session.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves openly. By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a better understanding of the counseling process, a sense of how we will work together, and a preliminary plan for moving forward toward their goals.
