Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cinthia Rivera, LCSW-C, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Latina licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and difficulties coping with overwhelming emotions. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs.

As a bilingual therapist, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and value creating a space where clients can express themselves comfortably and authentically in the language they feel most comfortable using.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, and you don’t have to navigate everything alone. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, and develop practical tools to move toward the life you want.

Whether you’re going through a difficult transition or simply want to feel more grounded and confident, I’m here to support you along the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. We’ll also talk about your background, current challenges, strengths, and goals.

I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, so there is no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. I’ll meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our first session, we’ll begin identifying areas you would like to work on and develop a plan for moving forward together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work ahead.
