Great to meet you!

Everyone has their own story, and all of us have dark chapters at times. I have been through some dark chapters myself, and therapy has been a guiding part of my journey through it. Now, I find purpose and passion in guiding others through their dark chapters to reclaim their story.

My approach to therapy

There are many things in life that we have little to no control over, but I firmly believe you decide who you are and what your story means to you. There are many struggles we deal with - internally and externally - that we sometimes start to see as who we are. You are not your depression, your anxiety, your trauma, nor must you live in shame believing that that is all you are. You decide who you are - and I am simply here as a professional and friend who truly cares to help you find your way to grow closer to your best self.

What you can expect from me

In a first session with me, I want to get a really good idea of who you are. I don't want to just slap a diagnosis down or do a bunch of assessments and run with those. Most true solutions to behavioral struggles and trauma in life are gradual and take time. I will likely ask a good bit of questions towards who you are and what you struggle with, but I want you to feel safe throughout. Whereas I believe the most powerful conversations are often the most unspoken feelings, the most uncomfortable topics, and confronting our darkness, I want you to be in the driver seat. I'm the guy with you navigating in the passenger seat. If what you need early on is to warm up and talk about things that bring you joy, that's great. If you want to jump right into the darkest demons in your life, you can do that too. I just want to know you, your general goals for treatment, what matters to you, and I want you to feel safe.
