Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with 16 years of counseling experience. I enjoy working with individuals 18 years and older. I have 20+ years of experience supporting addicted people who want to stop drinking alcohol and using drugs, and other destructive behaviors and their family members and friends.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling involves helping you to identify strengths within yourself and develop self-awareness. My therapeutic approach is moving away from the traditional "medical model" — which emphasizes treatment of pathology, toward a "personal-growth model", which emphasizes personal development, wellness and recovery. I draw on a wide range of skills related to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based, Solution-Focused and sometimes "Brief Therapy.”

What you can expect from me

In a safe and comfortable environment, I will help you identify what is most important to you and then help you move toward a rich and meaningful life.
