Cora Boyd

Cora Boyd is an independent licensed counselor (LPCC), in New Mexico and is part of Headway. Cora is a Navajo women living in New Mexico. She received her education in counseling from Grand Canyon University in Pheonix AZ. She completed her internship through Darrin's Place in Espanola and is currently employed with Darrin's Place for over three years. She has worked with clients with addiction, neurodevelopmental disorders, bipolar, mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. Cora has conducted assessments, developed client centered treatment plans and used evidence-based interventions to create balance in client's lives. She is committed to promote personal growth using empathy, and patience while remaining culturally competent.

To bring healing Cora helps clients build on their own strengths using different modality to focus on individual needs using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Therapy.

The sessions will help build on resilience, coping skills, create knowledge to bring back balance.
