Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Cori and I look forward to the possibility of working with you. I have 17 years in the field, mainly with crisis work. My experience includes eco-based therapy, solution oriented therapy, narrative therapy, family systems, and working a great deal of years with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and have spent many years in leadership positions in agencies or teaching.

My approach to therapy

My approach is always to be human first and foremost, and not present to you as perfect so that you can also be completely and wholly yourself when we work together. I like to try to bring a healthy mix of "deep," and not so deep to the room. I will take your lead (whenever you feel able to) to tell me what interventions or modalities work for you. I can throw things out there, and you are welcome to throw them back if it doesn't work.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will want to know your goals for yourself in going to therapy. If you don't know them, I can try to help get clear about those. My goal in our first session is to know if we should focus on stabilization, or the bigger picture.
