Courtney Banks, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based care. She earned her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Wilkes University and holds a Family Nurse Practitioner certification from The George Washington University.
With over eight years of healthcare experience, Courtney brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to patient care. Her clinical background spans outpatient psychiatry, primary care, pain management, aesthetics, and disability evaluations for veterans and state agencies. This diverse experience allows her to understand the complex connection between physical and mental health and provide truly holistic treatment.
Courtney specializes in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. She believes that every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment journey. Her approach combines thoughtful medication management, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-informed interventions, and collaborative treatment planning tailored to each individual's goals and lifestyle.
