I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have provided therapeutic services in various settings for 10 plus years and have taken the opportunity to work with children, as well as adults, to address symptoms that have become problematic to their everyday lives. I have worked with a broad spectrum of symptoms and I am ready to be of assistance to you in your process toward healing, learning and growing.
My counseling style is interactive, empathetic and warm. I strive to implement respect, compassion, dignity and active listening during every interaction with clients. My preference is to be engaging with sessions because I believe in having a practical, solution-focused approach to work through the problems that led you to seek assistance.
During sessions we will work together to help you achieve insight, learn new skills and find strategies that will move you toward change and growth. I also believe that assigning homework in between therapy sessions is important to help you practice skills and implement desired changes. In short, I let your strengths guide the work that we do, so that you get the best results based on the work you are willing to put in. I honor your bravery, and will commit to the process as much as you do.
