Great to meet you!

Whether your are seeking clarity, growth, or emotional relief, therapy is a powerful step toward living a more enriched and joyful life. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and clinical insight - helping you to move forward with greater self-awareness and resilience.

My approach to therapy

In the 27 years as a practicing clinical social worker, I feel that the collaborative process between client and therapist is vital for successful therapeutic outcomes. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I feel while it is important to understand and process the root of what brings someone to therapy whether it is mood instability, trauma, familial relationship conflicts, or low self-esteem, that it is equally as important to provide a "toolbox" of coping strategies to better manage distorted thinking patterns and painful emotions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I will take an overall history including what brings you to therapy, past mental health history, as well as family, social, and vocational history. Then based on this information we will collaborate in developing a treatment plan that includes goals and objectives of treatment in addition to determining the appropriate frequency of sessions.
