Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cynthia Jacko-Wise, a licensed clinical mental health counselor based in North Carolina and the founder of Wise Counsel Therapy. I specialize in working with adults navigating life transitions, burnout, self-worth, and relationship challenges. I am also a licensed minister in the Christian faith and provide space for clients who want to integrate their faith into the healing process. I understand what it’s like when the picture you imagined for your life is not your current reality. Whether it be related to your career, your marital status, your health, relationships, or loss, you can find a safe place in our sessions to sort your thoughts, explore your emotions, and discover a new sense of self freely and without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational, client-centered, and exploratory. I often use tools from trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to compassionately unpack thoughts and behaviors as well as explore what experiences they were birthed out of. Sessions are guided by what matters most to you, at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel seen, supported, and equipped with practical tools that will help you live life well. We’ll work together to reduce stress, strengthen boundaries, and build confidence in your decisions and relationships. Consider your sessions your safe space to unload, laugh, cry, and release. No need to filter or fake it here. Just come as you are. There is joy to be uncovered. Let me help you find it!
