Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Cynthia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have obtained both my BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) and MSW (Master of Social Work) from a local college in New Mexico. My mental health experience includes working as a mental health technician in inpatient psychiatric care, supporting adolescents in stepdown facilities, and assisting individuals in shelters. As a licensed therapist, I have worked with families, infants, toddlers, adolescents, young adults, and older adults, addressing a wide range of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment challenges. I am also experienced in supporting active-duty personnel, veterans, and civilians.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, you will set the direction as the expert on your own life. My role is to guide, support, and encourage you as we identify your goals, track your progress, and adjust as needed. Sometimes, growth requires stepping outside your comfort zone, and I will be there to help you through those moments. I believe that education and knowledge empower you to understand your experiences and regain control over your thoughts and emotions. Together, we will use evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will complete an assessment that will allow me to educate you on your rights, privacy, my position as a mandated reporter, assess for safety, and gather background information about you; that would include a variety of areas in your life.
