Hi! My name is Diego Fuentes and I have been counseling and providing therapy for 16 years in southern California. I attended Cal state Fullerton for undergrad and went to Cal state L.A. for graduate school. I am strongest when working with alcohol/substance use, depression, anxiety, and goal setting. I focus on recognizing the individual's many strengths and reframing negative self-images in order to achieve a healthier perception of self.
The main principles that we touch on are strength based perspective, CBT and Motivational Interviewing, with the goal of recognizing a person's many strengths and reframing negative self-images. Part of the journey includes implementing positive self talk, validation, healing and working to achieve healthier boundaries
Our first meeting will be about understanding your goals and gathering a little history about you!. When a client works with me they will feel validated and supported and will never feel judged
