Great to meet you!

Hello!

I'm Dalton. A Chicano queer American as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in NYC. My work focus is with adults, looking at: building better coping skills; developing stronger interpersonal relationships; as well as managing mental health symptoms. I may come across as direct, so I've heard, and I'm comfortable with this description. Working with me, will require honesty, but of course will occur through a natural pace as rapport develops.

My approach to therapy

My specializations thus far including the following:

  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Client/Person-Centered Therapy
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy

What you can expect from me

Psychotherapy is not a linear progression. How much the client is willing to commit to their own progress can make a positive difference. Having a goal in mind can help; as well as being open to what may unfold for discovery in each session.
