Dana Grimmel

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor for Maryland and have grown up in the surrounding area my whole life. I believe building a trusting and collaborative relationship has the best potential impact to support clients with their unique identities. In doing this, I strive to look holistically at a person by considering their interpersonal dynamics, beliefs, culture, abilities, needs, and goals.

I have a passion for fostering growth and connection in a safe, creative, playful, and compassionate environment. .My approach to therapy is person-centered while utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Play Therapy techniques.

I work mainly with children and my goal is to help children be more comfortable with their feelings and emotions, while building the skills necessary to adjust to daily life stressors.
