Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Daniel Henry. I’m a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia and Colorado. I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals! I look forward to working with you!

My approach to therapy

Embedded in the therapeutic process is a need for trust, safety, connection and collaboration. Everything starts with cultivating safety and trust in the relationship. From a place of safety, clients can be more open and vulnerable. Then we can develop an understanding and gain insight into the areas of growth that are needed and work together to define goals, while remaining present in the process.

What you can expect from me

I care about my clients and I hope to impart that in every session: create safety and connection and collaborate in ways that help my clients see the growth they are seeking. Beyond that, while I find great value in behavior, modification and symptom management, I also like to expand that into the process of getting to the root of problematic or concerning behaviors. So I find the clients often come to understand after our initial session that I am invested in the process of understanding them and helping them discover some of the core motivations that is driving their behavior.
