Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Daniel Lozoya, LCSW. I’m a bilingual therapist providing therapy in English and Spanish for adults, teens, and individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, depression, grief, identity, relationship stress, and major life transitions.

My work is especially rooted in supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, first-generation individuals, trauma survivors, and clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves. I have experience using EMDR-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, ERP for OCD, mindfulness, parts work, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients build insight, emotional safety, and practical coping skills.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, respectful, and human. My goal is to create a space where you do not have to perform, minimize your pain, or have everything figured out before asking for support.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, direct when helpful, and grounded in helping you feel safe enough to be honest with yourself. I work with clients to understand what is happening beneath the surface—not just the symptoms, but the patterns, fears, trauma responses, relationships, and beliefs that may be keeping them feeling stuck.

Depending on your needs, our work may include learning coping skills, processing trauma, challenging anxious or obsessive thoughts, building emotional regulation, improving boundaries, strengthening self-compassion, or exploring identity and relationships. I often integrate CBT, DBT, EMDR-informed interventions, ERP for OCD, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy.

I do not believe therapy is one-size-fits-all. We will move at a pace that feels supportive while also helping you make meaningful progress toward the life, relationships, and sense of self you want.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where we begin getting to know your story. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult lately, what has helped or not helped in the past, and what you hope will feel different through our work together.

You do not have to share everything all at once. We will go at a pace that feels manageable, and we will begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. By the end of the first session, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, and clearer about how therapy can support you moving forward.

Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as you are, while also building tools to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.
