My approach to therapy

At Restoring Hope Wellness, we specialize in helping people who have experienced trauma and symptoms related to PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and other mental health challenges, move towards the path of true healing. Many clients come to the practice because they are looking for support in processing difficult and painful experiences or managing mental health conditions or symptoms that are interfering with daily functioning. At Restoring Hope Wellness, we use a holistic approach that includes a variety of evidence-based treatments, along with somatic tools, to assist clients in their healing.

We offer a comprehensive approach to trauma recovery and mental health challenges for individuals, groups, couples, and families. We aim to empower clients to rebuild their sense of safety and foster lasting resilience. For people who are seeking faith-based support, we offer a faith‐integrated approach when it has meaning to you.

If you feel overwhelmed or isolated, know you are not alone. Restoring Hope Wellness is where healing begins and hope is restored. We understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and we are here to offer a safe, compassionate space where you will be heard and supported. Connect with us if you have questions or are ready to begin healing.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to have questions or feel a little nervous. Your first session is usually a gentle conversation focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you in, and helping you feel more comfortable with the process. The first session is often about getting to know each other, not having all the answers right away. We will talk a little about your personal history, relationships, work or school, health, or past counseling experiences. I will explain review confidentiality, session structure, and practical details like scheduling. This will be a time to see if it feels like a good fit. It is okay to notice whether you feel comfortable and understood. Therapy is a relationship, and fit matters. Most importantly, you do not need to prepare perfectly for your first session. You can come as you are. As your therapist, I am here to help guide the conversation and support you at your pace.
