Great to meet you!

I have been a counselor for over 12 years. I originally specialized in children but have since expanded my work to include adults and families. I am passionate about supporting people through the most challenging times of their lives. I work towards connecting clients with community and other services to switch from surviving to thriving in and outside of counseling. I offer a safe and informed space for the LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities.

My approach to therapy

I approach counseling through a trauma focused lens. As a Latina, I utilize my bicultural experience to better understand all collectivist cultures while continuing to be curious about one’s unique lived experience. I have experience in CBT, TFCBT, DBT, and IFS as well as training on PDA. I am also a trained Drama Therapist which I use to facilitate the evidence based practices listed above.

What you can expect from me

In your first session you will get an overview of what to expect which hopefully will allay fears about how to do therapy "right". Your job is to show up and be present. Let me do the rest.
