Your first session will be a welcoming, supportive space where we begin getting to know one another. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and respected from the very start.
During this session, we will:
- Discuss what brings you to therapy at this time
- Explore any current stressors, symptoms, or concerns
- Review relevant personal, relational, or mental health history
- Clarify your goals for therapy
- Answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. The first session is also an opportunity for you to determine whether I feel like a good fit for you. Therapy works best when there is comfort, trust, and collaboration.
I take an evidence-based, compassionate approach and will begin identifying patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to your current challenges. Together, we will develop a plan tailored to your needs and goals.
There is no pressure to share everything all at once. We move at a pace that feels appropriate and supportive for you.
