Great to meet you!

I am open, approachable, and committed to listening carefully to your experiences without judgment. I believe that each person carries a unique story, and my goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged as you navigate life’s challenges and opportunities for growth. Together, we can explore what is most important to you and work toward creating a life that feels meaningful, authentic, and aligned with your values.

My background includes earning a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a lifelong appreciation for personal growth, nature, and the healing power of connection. Growing up learning to surf fostered a deep respect for the ocean and the lessons it offers about resilience, balance, and adapting to life's changing conditions. These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of honoring each individual’s journey and recognizing that growth often comes through both challenge and reflection.

My approach to therapy

I believe that intention plays a powerful role in how we move through life. By cultivating greater awareness of our values, choices, and goals, we can create meaningful change and move toward a life that feels more purposeful and fulfilling. My role is to walk alongside you in that process, offering support, insight, and encouragement every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will take time to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. We’ll explore your background, current stressors and challenges, support system, and the coping strategies you’ve used in the past. This helps me develop a comprehensive understanding of your experiences and identify areas where additional support may be helpful.

Together, we will begin establishing goals that feel meaningful and attainable, creating a roadmap for the work we do moving forward. Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and I encourage you to use this time to determine whether I feel like the right fit for your needs and goals. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and more confident about your next steps.
