Great to meet you!

I work with individuals who are experiencing difficulties related to life events. I do not provide treatment for concerns outside my scope of practice. My areas of interest include working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, behavioral issues, relationship challenges, trauma, and grief. I also provide pre-marital and marital counseling.

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and others along with an understanding of emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual factors. Together, we will identify your goals, develop a plan to reach them, and explore the underlying causes of your concerns with the aim of healing and transformation. We will periodically review your progress and adjust our plan as needed.

My approach to therapy

You are not alone in this process. Everyone experiences challenges, and counseling can be a valuable resource for anyone. Counseling can sometimes feel uncomfortable, as it may involve exploring difficult issues, taking personal responsibility, forgiving others, and working to create a “new normal.” You may experience emotions such as anger, fear, or frustration as we work together. While I cannot remove these feelings, I will support you in working through them or help you find another counselor if needed.

Meaningful change often requires time, effort, and commitment both during and between sessions. I may suggest activities such as journaling, exercises, or other assignments to support your progress.
