Great to meet you!

On a personal note I became a psychologist because I enjoy helping people learn and grow. I wrote an article which is an offshoot of a book written by Dale Evans about her son called “Is the Angel Unaware, Unaware.” It is about my Down syndrome brother who has impacted all my family’s lives in so many positive ways. I only hope to give back to those in need to the level that Kevin, my brother, so beautifully did for us.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Koehn uses a holistic and systems approach to therapy. He incorporates the influence and support of family structure, school and work environment, as well as community when building a treatment plan and enabling positive behavior growth. Stylistically, Dr. David Koehn utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), structural family therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy into interventions. He also is competent in Biofeedback and mindfulness
