Great to meet you!

I am a trauma-informed therapist trained in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR. My work integrates clinical psychology, learning science, and lived experience as a trauma survivor. I hold a doctorate in Learning Sciences, a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and an MBA. I have led in high-responsibility environments as an entrepreneur and have worked across organizational levels, from executives to frontline professionals. I understand performance pressure, decision fatigue, and the cost of carrying too much for too long.

My practice is structured, grounded, and person-centered. I work with thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who appear capable on the outside but feel strained, stuck, or dysregulated internally. Together, we examine how trauma, nervous system conditioning, learning history, and environment shape patterns of thinking, reacting, and relating. Therapy is not about overanalyzing the past. It is about building regulation, clarity, and durable change in the present.

My trauma-informed approach is shaped not only by advanced clinical training, but by sustained personal trauma processing and nervous system regulation work. I am a National Certified Counselor and an active member of AMHCA, NBCC, and HFES. I am also a Birkman Certified Professional. To learn more, please visit: www.mindfulfillness.org

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy starts with rapport, respect, and non-judgment. You deserve a space where you can speak honestly without being evaluated, fixed, or minimized. Trust is built through consistency and steadiness. Therapy should feel safe enough to examine what is hard, confusing, or painful without fear of criticism or dismissal.

From that foundation, we do meaningful work. I integrate evidence-based therapies with practical experience shaped by years in emergency medicine, business leadership, and clinical settings. I understand pressure, responsibility, and the toll of holding things together for others. In our sessions, we look closely at how trauma, nervous system patterns, and learning history influence the way you think, react, relate, and decide. The goal is not just insight, but greater regulation, clarity, and intentional action.

My perspective is shaped by long-term personal commitment and responsibility. More than thirty years of marriage, raising adult children, prior work as an EMT and paramedic, and over two decades as an entrepreneur have reinforced the value of steadiness, accountability, and follow-through. Therapy is about creating meaningful change, not temporary relief. It is about helping you live in a way that feels authentic, grounded, deliberate, and aligned with your values.
