Great to meet you!

With 34 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I've walked alongside people through some of the heaviest chapters of life — chronic illness, grief, trauma, and the kind of relationship pain that makes you question your own judgment. I earned my MSW at the University of Michigan and have spent three decades learning what actually helps people move forward.

I work exclusively via telehealth for adults and older adults in Michigan and Arizona. One thing I want you to know: I will never use AI to record our sessions. What you share with me stays between us.

A former client described working with me as "the right mix of supportive and challenging." I think that's what honest, effective therapy looks like — not just validation, but real engagement with where you want to go.

My approach to therapy

I draw primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a humanistic/strengths-based framework. In practice, this means I'm not here to label you or give you a diagnosis to live inside. I'm here to help you understand the parts of yourself that developed for very real reasons — often as protection — and to work with them rather than against them.

My belief: anxiety, depression, difficult physical symptoms, and relationship patterns almost always make sense once we understand the story underneath them. The goal isn't to make you "better." It's to help you feel like yourself again — more grounded, more clear, more connected to what actually matters to you.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation — not an intake form read back to you. I'll ask what brought you in, a bit about your history, and the relationships that have shaped who you are. You don't need to have it figured out. You don't need to know what you want from therapy. Just come as you are.

By the end of that first session, my goal is simple: I want you to feel genuinely heard — and to have a clearer sense of whether we're the right fit. Good therapy is built on that foundation, and I take it seriously.
