Great to meet you!

My name is Dé Corbett and I am a dual diagnosis therapist from Wilmington, NC. I attended UNCW and graduated with a BA degree in psychology and chemistry minor/pre-med student. For advanced education, I went to Chicago School of Professional Psychology and transferred to GCU and graduated with two Master’s Degrees Professional Counseling and Addiction Counseling, and three classes away from Master’s in Forensic Psychology. I specialize in mental health and substance use disorders, grief, and severe trauma.

My approach to therapy

Life is like the ocean with ups and downs. We never know what wave is going to hit us ... Some waves come and knock us flat down, others are choppy and we’re just jumping, jumping, jumping, and then there are those that are smooth and level off to the shore. Life is about finding the right surf board to ride those waves of life.

What you can expect from me

I am open, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. It is a partnership not a dictatorship. You are the captain of this ship and my role is to provide guidance, a listening ear, and effective treatment interventions. We have different roles but the same goal which is your optimal health.
