Great to meet you!

"Welcome to my virtual couch—where breath steadies, the heart softens, and the journey unfolds, I am De'Lisa Hill, let’s walk it together.” Here, your story is met with compassion, curiosity, and clinical wisdom. Together, we’ll revive what’s been withered, rebuild what’s been worn down, reveal what’s been hidden beneath the surface, and move toward restoration with intention.

For more than 18 years, I have walked with adolescents (16-20), adults (21-90), couples, and leaders through seasons of transition, healing, and rebuilding. My approach blends clinical precision with deep compassion. Clients describe my presence as grounding, clarifying, and restorative — a space where they can exhale, be fully seen, and begin again without shame or pressure.

I help you untangle the internal knots created by stress, trauma, relational ruptures, identity confusion, and life transitions. Whether you’re navigating emotional overwhelm, burnout, marital/couples' strain, spiritual fatigue, or the quiet ache of feeling “stuck,” my role is to help you reconnect with your clarity, your agency, and your capacity to thrive.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, person-centered, and structured. I integrate:

• Systems Therapy to understand patterns that shape relationships and behavior

• Cognitive Behavioral and Cognitive Restructuring to challenge unhealthy thought patterns

• Motivational Interviewing to support readiness, change, and self-leadership

• Trauma‐informed, attachment‐aware care to restore safety and emotional regulation

• Faith‐integrated counseling (when requested) for clients who want spiritual alignment woven into their healing

“I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, not a performance. You bring your lived experience; I bring clinical expertise, objectivity, and a steady presence. Together, we will identify what’s no longer working, strengthen what is, and build the internal and external structures needed for long-term transformation.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a gentle beginning — a space to settle in, breathe, and let your story unfold at a pace that feels safe. We won’t rush. We won’t force anything. Instead, we create a shared understanding of where you are, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope to reclaim.

During this initial meeting, you can expect:

• A warm, grounding welcome that helps you ease into the process

• A collaborative conversation about what brings you here and what you want to change or strengthen

• Space to share your history, your patterns, and your hopes — without pressure to have everything figured out

• Clarifying questions that help us understand the roots of your concerns and the direction you want to move

• A clear sense of next steps, including the goals we’ll work toward together
