Deana Flynn is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, MSN, PMHNP-BC licensed by the State of North Carolina and Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Deana has over a decade of experience delivering effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care to people of all backgrounds. Deana received her education at East Tennessee State University where she completed her Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

My approach to therapy

Deana’s philosophy is that optimal wellness is patient centered and focuses on whole person wellbeing. She provides multifaceted care that is evidence-based and combines traditional psychotherapy and medication management approaches with complementary and alternative practices for total wellness. Deana encourages healthy lifestyle choices, regular exercise, mindful eating, in combination with therapy and – when necessary – evidence-based medication support.
