Great to meet you!

I identify as an Asian American therapist and an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to practice with cultural awareness and sensitivity. I believe it’s important to care for yourself first; only then do you have the energy and ability to care for others—if and when you choose.

My approach to therapy

I believe in meeting people where they are at in their journey and that when people have an enjoyable experience in therapy they will continue to put in the hard work to meet their goals. I also recognize that therapy can be challenging, hard, and vulnerable, therefore I create a safe space through laughter and fun. Connection is also important, building a solid relationship with clients, learning their interests and hobbies, and getting to know you for who you are. It can be easier to do hard things with a little fun and support.

What you can expect from me

My hope is for clients to feel heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to create a space where they can be open without judgement. We'll talk things through, explore your experiences, look at things from different angles, and build on your strengths to develop practical coping strategies that can be used daily.
