Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. DeAnna Tracy, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. (About 8 years of this has been in counseling.) I have a background in psychology and clinical counseling, along with a doctorate in Rural and Diverse Leadership.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a range of individuals facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and feelings of overwhelm. I’ve spent much of my professional life helping people problem-solve, build confidence, and move forward in practical, meaningful ways.

I understand how easy it is to feel stuck, burned out, or like you’re carrying too much on your own. My goal is to provide a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to be honest about what you're going through - without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, supportive, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with a strengths-based approach to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected.

I believe therapy should not only be a place to talk, but also a place to learn tools that you can actually use in your everyday life. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back and develop strategies to help you cope, make changes, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

I tailor my approach to each individual, meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels comfortable while still helping you make progress.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you hope to get out of the process.

You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where you don’t have to have everything figured out. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your situation, and we may begin identifying initial goals or areas to focus on.

By the end of the session, you should have a clearer idea of how therapy can help and what working together will look like moving forward.
