Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Demah S. Payne III. As a counselor with 15+ years of experience in school, crisis, college, and community settings. I integrate CBT, narrative therapy, and a strengths-based lens in a warm, collaborative space where you’ll feel supported, understood, and empowered to overcome anxiety, depression, and trauma with clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I blend CBT to challenge unhelpful thoughts, person-centered therapy to create a safe, validating space, and narrative therapy to help clients rewrite the stories shaped by anxiety, depression, and trauma empowering you to reclaim control, feel supported, understood, and to step fully into your life.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that may be holding you back, build practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, and trauma, and help you reconnect with your strengths. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more confident, resilient, and empowered to create the meaningful life you want.
