Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Denise, a fully licensed therapist with a passion for helping Black adult women navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. My background includes supporting clients through issues such as identity confusion, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I specialize in identity exploration, boundary-setting, and helping women strengthen their self-esteem and sense of self. I also support women balancing multiple roles, including the unique challenges of the perinatal and postpartum journey. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore who you are and feel more grounded, confident, and whole.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to each individual’s needs. I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and empowering, and I work alongside clients to explore patterns, gain new insights, and build healthier coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions with a deeper understanding of themselves, practical tools for managing stress and emotions, and a greater sense of confidence in their ability to set healthy boundaries. I strive to create an environment that feels safe, supportive, and validating, where you can bring your whole self without fear of judgment. My hope is that therapy supports you in navigating life with clarity, authenticity, and balance.
