Great to meet you!

I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults who may be navigating anxiety, stress, grief life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life. My approach is warm, nurturing, and collaborative nature, as I strive to meet each person where they are while helping them recognize their own strengths, navigate life’s challenges and move at a pace that feels safe. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin, just a willingness to allow me to walk along side you through this journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation distress tolerance, and coping skills, and personal centered therapy to create a supportive nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I also incorporate psychodynamic approaches to explore how past experiences may influence present thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Drawing on my experience as a school social worker, I use these approaches flexibly and intentionally to help adolescents, adults and older adults build insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. strengths-based. I believe each person has unique strengths and the capacity to grow, even during life’s most challenging moments.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my priority is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease. Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even a little nerve-racking, so there is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what to say. We will take things at your pace in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I will invite you to share, as you feel comfortable, what brings you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. You will have the space to speak openly and freely while feeling heard, respected, and understood.

Together, we will begin identifying your goals and discussing how therapy can best support you. As we continue working together, sessions will be guided by your individual needs, goals and progress. We will regularly check in on your progress, ensuring therapy remains a collaborative process that supports your growth and well being.
