Denise Waterfield is a dual-certified nurse practitioner specializing in adult gerontology acute care and psychiatry and mental health. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, conducts symptom management research, and serves as an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing.
With a patient-centered approach, Denise is committed to delivering high-quality care that prioritizes both physical and mental well-being. Whether addressing acute neurological conditions or providing psychiatric support, she strives to create a supportive environment where patients receive personalized treatment tailored to their unique needs.
The first session will involve a lot of listening and learning about you on my part. It's important to me to individualize care and get to know you before making treatment decisions. You will also get the benefit of meeting with a dual certified nurse practitioner with knowledge and experience in both acute care medicine and psychiatric mental health. (AGACNP-BC, PMHNP-BC).
