Great to meet you!

Hi!,

My name is Desirae and I’m so glad you’re here! I received my Master’s degree in Social Work in 2019 and since then I’ve worked in various positions, I’ve done forensic interviewing as well as traditional therapy with people of all ages and backgrounds. No two clients are the same so I try very hard to focus on you and what you need. My one promise is that no matter what headspace you are in, I will never judge you and I will always meet you where you are.

My approach to therapy

I have an eclectic style of therapy, which means I can utilize worksheets and structure just as easily as I can go with the flow. I use CBT but I’ve been known to use principles of DBT as well. I have treated clients with ADHD , Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar disorder and many more. This variety has taught me that my clients deserve diversity of thought and to be treated as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be treated with kindness and empathy. They can expect to be held accountable as well as encouraged and supported. Clients can expect to come away with more tools to manage symptoms as well as a supportive ear if it takes time for those tools to work.
