Great to meet you!

Something brought you here today, and that matters. Maybe it is depression that dims even ordinary mornings, anxiety that keeps your mind going long after midnight, or relationship concerns that leave you wondering who you are when you stop being what everyone else needs. I am Dewanda Coard, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and I work with women ages 18 to 65 navigating life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and the quiet exhaustion that builds when you keep putting yourself last. If you're here, you've already taken an important step by choosing to prioritize your mental health, and I commend you for that. My goal is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life. I would welcome the opportunity to work alongside you as you develop the tools and confidence needed to overcome obstacles, improve your well-being, and achieve your personal goals!

My approach to therapy

Therapy, at its best, follows your lead. I bring a person-centered foundation to everything we do, which means I am not fitting you into a protocol but adapting to what you actually need. I believe in meeting clients where they are in their journey and working collaboratively to understand their unique needs and goals. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan focused on fostering meaningful change, building on your strengths, and empowering you to create lasting solutions that support your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is yours to use however you need it. Some women come with a clear list of what they want to change. Others just know something feels off and want to talk it through. Either is fine. We will spend time exploring what brought you here, what matters most to you, and what you would like to feel different about your life. You do not need to have it figured out to begin. I will meet you exactly where you are.
