Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Diana. I've been a licensed therapist for 10 years and love what I do! I came to the profession after years in both the corporate world and in ministry, and I have significant experience living and practicing abroad. I possess both a diverse background and an open mind.

I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am licensed in Florida and North Carolina. I have worked in private group practice in Florida for a decade and have extensive experience providing therapy in virtual sessions.

I particularly enjoy working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational dynamics, and end-of-life issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is based on a warm relational style imbued with grace and compassion, and reflects a supportive and nurturing model of relationship imperative for healing and growth. Just as our wounds and the places we get stuck arise out of relationship, our healing, growth and transformation are fostered in healthy, caring, and grace-oriented relationships, as well. I believe therapy is a collaborative endeavor between therapist and client that considers the life experiences, patterns, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped and currently influence your ways of being in the world.

I primarily practice from a Psychodynamic perspective with the belief that unresolved issues from the past often show up in the present, impeding our ability to thrive in our lives and relationships in the here and now. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy and employ a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs, including EMDR.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be casual and relaxed, as I invite you to share your story and we begin to get to know one another. I’ll be listening to hear and understand your concerns, beginning to identify your strengths, and considering the most effective ways to support you in getting where you want to be. It will be an opportunity for us both to assess the relational chemistry and decide whether we are a good fit in working together to achieve your goals.
