Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social worker with over 30 years of clinical experience and even more life experience! I enjoy helping people improve their lives and navigate transitions. Most people seek out therapy because they feel stuck in some way. I am ready to help you figure it out! I am empathic and direct at the same time.

I am not seeing EAP clients at this time.I am trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and also utilize many different techniques to help my clients reach their goals. I have worked for many years with unresolved trauma and grief and loss.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach when working with someone; I believe the mind and body are inseparable, with both carrying symptoms. The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one; self-esteem and self-care are essential. A comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment is crucial for gathering as much information as possible about a new client. After this, a collaboration with my client is important to identify what symptoms are troublesome and what goals the client has in mind. Every client can change with some help if they are motivated to do the work. I take a strengths-based approach and will offer my insights when I think they may be helpful. I see myself as a guide or an advisor.

What you can expect from me

I strive to build an environment of trust and respect that allows you to feel comfortable sharing vulnerable aspects of yourself. I am thoughtful about you and your problems, and I want you to be curious about your symptoms and what they may represent in your life. Hopefully, by working with me you will look at your life differently and perhaps challenge some long-held beliefs that may no longer be serving you well.
