Great to meet you!

"Hello and welcome, my name is Dr. Dimayquoaye Smith. I am a licensed therapist who works with adults and adolescents seeking support during challenging seasons of life. I provide a safe, respectful space for individuals navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and substance use–related challenges.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing begins with feeling understood. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs, goals, and strengths. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for positive change, therapy can be a meaningful step toward clarity, balance, and personal growth.

I am trained in addiction counseling and clinical supervision and hold advanced professional credentials in behavioral health. I am committed to ethical, evidence-based care and ongoing professional development to best support the individuals and families I serve.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with empathy, respect, and encouragement, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

As a counselor, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), faith-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I am also certified in DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations and the Prime for Life program for drug paraphernalia, open container, and marijuana-related charges.

I utilize relaxation techniques, meditation, and cognitive restructuring to guide clients through the complex journey of recovery and personal growth. In addition to counseling, I provide life and mental health coaching, individual therapy, and assessments. My mission is to help people find hope, healing, and success through coaching, counseling, consulting, and collaboration.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Smith begins by getting to know each client’s story, exploring their personal strengths, challenges, and goals. He takes time to understand each individual’s unique background, including family dynamics, emotional concerns, and experiences with trauma, addiction, or mental health challenges.

Clients will notice that Dr. Smith’s approach blends solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and faith-based principles, helping them identify practical steps toward healing and growth. He often incorporates relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and cognitive restructuring to reduce anxiety and promote clarity.

The first session also includes a discussion about the counseling process, confidentiality, and collaborative goal-setting. Dr. Smith emphasizes partnership thus empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey. Whether seeking support for addiction recovery, emotional balance, or personal growth, clients leave their first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the path forward.
