Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing and serving the Metro Detroit Area for the past 5 years. I received my training and Master of Education in Community Counseling from DePaul University in 2016. I have worked in human services and counseling for approximately 10 years in a variety of settings including working to reunite and strengthen bonds with families, serving as a Life Coaching for young adults 18-25 and clinician for children and families with serious emotional needs.

My approach to therapy

I believe you can create your own happiness through healing yourself and creating new relationships with self and others. A major thread that is woven throughout my work and the way I connect with others is a Trauma Informed Approach which means having an understanding that it is less about “what’s wrong with you” and more about “what has happened to you”. This approach is beneficial for working with individuals with a wide range of concerns including ADHD, stress, anxiety and depression.

What you can expect from me

By utilizing a client focused approach, we will explore acceptance and change through reflection, art, mindfulness, and other cognitive behavioral practices. My clients can expect a supportive and safe environment to try out new skills and processes. Practice makes improvement.
