Great to meet you!

Seeking help is a courageous first step, and I believe every person deserves to be heard with compassion, respect, and without judgment. I became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I believe that compassionate listening, genuine connection, and personalized care have the power to restore hope and transform lives. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent 18 years as a psychiatric nurse, caring for individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions. Those years taught me the importance of meeting every person with empathy, patience, and respect. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment for adults and older adults through secure telehealth appointments. I also have extensive experience caring for geriatric patients in long-term care settings. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and patient-centered. I believe medication is only one part of healing. I take time to listen, educate, answer questions, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your goals, values, and lifestyle. Building trust is at the heart of my practice because I believe the strongest outcomes begin with a strong therapeutic relationship. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or returning to treatment, my goal is to help you move toward improved emotional health, greater resilience, and a better quality of life. Wherever you are in your journey, you don't have to face it alone. I look forward to partnering with you to help you find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and without judgment. I take time to listen, understand each individual's unique experiences, and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and values. By combining evidence-based psychiatric care with open communication and education, I empower my clients to make informed decisions about their mental health. My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported, heard, and confident as we work together toward healing, resilience, and lasting emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. My priority is to create a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can share your concerns at your own pace. During our session, we'll talk about what has brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, your medical and mental health history, any previous treatment experiences, and the goals you hope to achieve. I also want to understand your strengths, support system, and the life experiences that have shaped your journey, because every person's story is unique. I believe that listening is just as important as treating. You'll have time to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and share what's most important to you. If medication is appropriate, we'll review your options together, including the benefits, potential side effects, and what you can expect moving forward. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, involved, and comfortable with every treatment decision. By the end of our first session, we'll develop an initial treatment plan that reflects your needs and goals. Whether that includes medication management, therapy referrals, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of approaches, we'll work together to create a plan that supports your mental wellness. My hope is that you'll leave your first appointment feeling heard, respected, and encouraged—knowing you have a partner who is committed to helping you move toward healing, resilience, and a better quality of life.
