Great to meet you!

My name is Doris Silverthorne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) with extensive experience in substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health treatment. I currently serve as a Clinical Supervisor at an inpatient addiction facility, where I oversee residential and detoxification services,

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and recovery-focused. As a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor, I bring extensive experience supporting individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My work is grounded in meeting each person where they are, helping them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lasting recovery and emotional wellness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know their story, current challenges, and goals for treatment. I take time to understand each person’s experiences with substance use, mental health, and other factors affecting their wellbeing so we can identify the support that will be most helpful. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more clear about the next steps in their recovery and healing process.
