Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience helping adults facing addiction, anxiety, depression, stress and other life challenges. I work exclusively via teletherapy with clients in West Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina, so you can access support from the privacy of your home. I have walked with people through grief, serious illness and major transitions, and I aim to provide a steady, compassionate presence as you pursue a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, respectful and collaborative. I use proven methods like cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, and humanistic, person centered techniques to help you build new coping skills and habits. We will focus on small, consistent changes that can create meaningful progress in how you think, feel and respond. I also draw on my certification in anger management and experience with substance use and mood disorders.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what has or has not helped in the past. I will explain how teletherapy works on the Simple Practice platform and answer any questions so you feel comfortable with the process. Together we will develop a plan tailored to your needs and move at a pace that feels right for you. Taking that first, sometimes scary step is important, and I am here to help you get started.
