Great to meet you!

Psychiatric Care for Anxiety, Depression, ADHD & Life Stress

I’m Dustin Dean, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in providing Healthcare, many of those providing medication management and therapy for children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults.

I specialize in treating:

  • Anxiety disorders and panic
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • ADHD and focus difficulties
  • Stress, burnout, and adjustment issues
  • School, work, and employment-related challenges
  • Family, cultural, and religious stressors

Many of my clients seek care because symptoms are affecting school performance, work productivity, relationships, or family life. I help clients regain stability, clarity, and confidence using a practical, evidence-based, and personalized approach.

My treatment style combines thoughtful medication management with therapy-informed care, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I focus on effective symptom relief while also building long-term coping skills, emotional regulation, and improved focus, without unnecessary medication when possible.

I work closely with:

  • Youth and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, or ADHD
  • College students and young adults navigating transitions
  • Adults managing work stress, burnout, or family conflict
  • Individuals balancing mental health with cultural or faith-based values

If you’re looking for a provider who is approachable, experienced, and focused on real improvement, I’d be happy to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, solution-focused, and strengths-based. My goal is to help each client identify and activate their inner strengths, resilience, and personal values so they can move forward with confidence.

I work alongside clients to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and ADHD by helping them shift out of survival mode and develop practical skills for emotional regulation, focus, and daily functioning. Rather than staying stuck in past experiences or pain, we focus on building present-moment awareness, problem-solving skills, and long-term coping strategies.

My care integrates evidence-based therapy approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with thoughtful medication management when appropriate. Treatment is individualized, goal-oriented, and designed to support improvement at school, work, relationships, and family life.

I emphasize progress, empowerment, and skill-building, helping clients develop confidence and clarity so they can not only feel better, but function better in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, structured, and collaborative first session. During our initial visit, I take time to understand your current concerns, symptoms, goals, and what has or has not helped in the past. We’ll review relevant mental health history, life stressors, school or work challenges, family dynamics, and any cultural or faith-based factors that are important to you.

The first session focuses on clarity and direction. Together, we identify your primary treatment goals and create an initial plan to address symptoms such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, or emotional overwhelm. If medication is appropriate, we discuss options carefully and thoughtfully. If not, we focus on practical strategies you can begin using right away.

Clients often leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of next steps. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident that we are working toward meaningful, measurable improvement from the very beginning.
