Great to meet you!

My career as a mental health professional began my sophomore year at NCCU. I was providing enhanced mental health services, for youth and families. Since then, I have worked in Level III-residential settings, community-based outpatient clinics and an inpatient psychiatric facility. Nowadays, I focus on basic outpatient therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as a licensed clinical social worker.

My approach to therapy

Building trust is the first step in my approach to develop a therapeutic bond. Then meeting people where they are will strengthen that bond, and create pathways to a helping relationship. Services are anchored in evidence-based treatment that includes person-centered approaches, motivational interviewing, and the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What you can expect from me

Choice and autonomy help us feel a sense of empowerment and self-determination. My goal is to help people live better while making their own, best-and-informed decisions. We will create an environment that fosters self-efficacy and is free of harsh judgement and negative criticism.
