Great to meet you!

I am a therapist committed to upholding the principles of the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics, with service at the center of my work. I strive to create a supportive, respectful space where individuals—especially those who have experienced trauma—feel seen, heard, and valued. Through thoughtful dialogue and informed by my clinical expertise, I aim to collaborate with clients in ways that honor their lived experiences while fostering growth, healing, and empowerment.

My approach to therapy

My path into this work was shaped by my own experiences navigating complex systems, which informs a deep respect for the resilience and insight clients bring into the therapeutic space. In our work together, we will approach barriers to self-regulation with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment, creating room for greater understanding and choice.

My approach is informed by the work of Dr. Joy DeGruy, particularly her contributions to understanding epigenetics and intergenerational trauma, as well as Dr. Gabor Maté, whose research supports trauma-informed perspectives and harm reduction approaches to substance use. I integrate these frameworks to support clients in making meaning of their experiences while cultivating pathways toward healing and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, gaining insight into patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses that may have previously felt difficult to name or understand. Through a collaborative and trauma-informed approach, therapy will support the cultivation of emotional regulation skills—enhancing one’s ability to navigate intense feelings with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.

This process is not about perfection, but about building a more attuned and responsive relationship with oneself, allowing for increased agency, resilience, and intentional choice in daily life.
